Lily Rose Beatrice Allen (born 2 May 1985) is an English pop music singer of novelty songs and songwriter. Known for her songs "Smile", "LDN", her cover of "Oh My God" by British act The Kaiser Chiefs, "The Fear", "Fuck You" and her Mockney style, Allen is the daughter of actor and musician Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen. From 12 February 2008 Allen hosted her own BBC Three talk show Lily Allen and Friends.
Her single "Smile" reached number one on the UK Singles Chart in July 2006. In December 2006, her debut album Alright, Still was voted the third best album of the year by Mixmag. In 2007, it was nominated for the award of Best British Album at the BRIT Awards and for Best New Artist at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards. The album was nominated for a 2008 Grammy Award in the category of "Best Alternative Music Album." Alright, Still has sold over 2,600,000 copies worldwide.
A second album, It's Not Me, It's You, was released in the UK on 9 February 2009 and the United States on 10 February 2009. The album debuted at number 1 in Australia and the UK, while the first single from the album "The Fear" was number 1 in its first four weeks on the charts. In the United States the album debuted at the number 5 position.

È figlia dell'attore comico Keith Allen e della produttrice cinematografica Alison Owen, mentre ha come padrino Joe Strummer, il compianto cantante dei Clash. Il suo singolo di debutto "Smile" raggiunse il #1 nelle UK singles charts nel luglio 2006, e in Italia è arrivato tra i primi 50 singoli più venduti nell'agosto 2006.
L'album di debutto di Lily Alright, Still fu pubblicato in versione limitata in vinile nel Regno Unito il 3 luglio 2006, mentre la versione CD fu pubblicata in tutta Europa il 17 luglio 2006.
Un brano intitolato "Nan, You're A Window Shopper" (una parodia della canzone di 50 Cent "Window Shopper") che Allen canta nei suoi concerti e che era disponibile sulla sua pagina su MySpace avrebbe dovuto essere incluso nell'album ma non lo fu perché non vi fu abbastanza tempo per sistemarlo prima della data di pubblicazione. La canzone intitolata "Friday Night" fu scritta assieme a Johnny Bull, ex chitarrista e produttore della band inglese Rialto, nel suo studio nel sud-ovest del Portogallo.
Il maggiore successo dell'album è Smile ma gode di buona popolarità anche LDN.
Il 9 febbraio 2009 è uscito il suo secondo album intitolato It's Not Me, It's You, preceduto dal singolo dalle sonorità indie elettroniche The Fear, che in una settimana passa dalla posizione #168 alla #1 della classifica inglese. A questa canzone segue Not Fair in rotazione radiofonica a partire da aprile 2009.
